I recently bought a new CFMOTO 450MT, so I needed a new tank bag. I was deciding between the Rhinowalk Mechanic Series 5.6L Magnetic Tank Bag and the larger 9L version with straps. Since I previously owned a similar tank bag from Mosko Moto, which I wasn't particularly happy with, I decided to give the smaller magnetic version a try.
The package arrived fairly quickly, and installation was fast and completely hassle-free. All I had to do was remove the four lower bolts around the fuel cap, place the mounting ring for the CFMOTO in position, and install the four supplied bolts. The mounting ring also has two rubber dots under it, so the metal doesnt hit the tank. The instructions were clear, and all the necessary tools were included in the box.
The tank bag simply clicks into place on the magnetic mount. The locking mechanism feels solid and secure, and removing the bag is just as easy by pressing a small release lever. It's a very well-designed system. Another feature I really like is the adjustable mounting position. By pressing a small button, you can slide the bag forward or backward on the mount to find the most comfortable position for your bike and riding style.
One of the biggest advantages for me is that the bag doesn't have to be removed when refueling. That alone is a huge plus compared to many other tank bags.
The bag offers plenty of storage space, and if you need more room, you can simply unzip the expansion zipper to increase its height and capacity. Inside the lid there's a separate compartment containing the rain cover and shoulder straps, which is very practical.
Another nice touch is that Rhinowalk includes a small padlock, allowing you to lock the zipper pulls together so nobody can easily open the bag while it's left on the bike. Even better, the bag itself can also be locked to the mounting ring using the integrated lock, and two keys are included.
On top of the bag, there are elastic bungee cords that I find surprisingly useful. They're perfect for quickly tucking away my gloves when stopping at ferry crossings, ticket booths, fuel stations, or whenever I park the bike for a short break.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with this tank bag. The build quality feels excellent, the magnetic mounting system is secure and easy to use, and it offers all the storage and features I need without being unnecessarily large. For my CFMOTO 450MT, it's the perfect size, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
